So I was listening to crystal fighters radio on last.fm and one of the songs that came on was reckless by kakkmaddafakka, which sounds like a long curse but apparently it means "party animal" in Norwegian, and I was grooving to it and I clicked the artist and saw the album "hest" and "2011" and I immediately got it on iTunes. Hest was "created" by the whitest boy alive which is fine cus as far as I'm concerned indie pop is catching on.
1. Restless. I feel like I'm going forward then in reverse then forward again. The lyrics, I pictures a hot Norwegian school girl walking in slow-mo and watching her ex sing about how "they" changed and how she never sees him cus she's "busy".
2. Your girl. Bass, drums perfect combo. I like the piano and the catchy guitar lyrics about a girl and a guilty friend who's probably cheating with "his girl".
3. Heidelberg. Taking bass to a new level, taking the piano with it. Very catchy rhythm, something you can dance to. Its an instrumental.
4. Drø Sø. The piano reminds me of super Mario bros. Usual lyrics about a girl.
5. Is she. Piano. Breeze. Beachy sound. Simple beat at first but it grows and it sticks to you.
6. Gangster. Its a beach rock ballad its very ska with roots probably influenced by Bob Marley if it isn't a direct rip off of one of his songs.
7. Touching. Heeeeelllll yeah!!!! I can dig this this is a song you jump to like a crazy over hyped kid who ate to many chocolate bars.
8. Make the first move. The lyrics get me they are catchy I love the touch of violins and the bass. Good end to a freakishly awesome album.
