Notes on kanrocksas day 2

I came late to the festival again. I heard muffled sounds of ok go as I entered the speedway and when I was almost there they ended nice start to a festival right? Well it did get better and I was lucky every turn.
Cage the elephant: I thought they banned crowd surfing but he did it. they played a handfull of old jams from the debut but they played more of the new album I reviewed a few months ago. This band or rather the Singer was energetic and it made the crowd Good n crazy which I thought was a unacomplishable feat because someone was all like "hey I wish coldplay came." And another Guy saying " naw a band like radiohead with a weird cult following would be fun" I wanted to shoot him you know. But anyway back to cage the elephant... he leaped off stage and jumped into the crowd everyone rushed torward him and luckily I got pushed all the way in front and I enjoyed the concert a lot better. The songs ain't no rest for the wicked and shake me down had everyone singing and he came down during rubber ball and hummed right in front of us in the left I took a picture but he was leaving when I took it. Then when they played the final song sabertooth tiger he jumped into the crowd again and stood up.
Flogging molly: the irish american band wooed up the crowd a lot the bassist even came down to talk to the fans which i took lots of pictures with. great band irish punk is a good description of em but great enrgy feedback from the crowd.
the black keys: yeah they were awesome they had great lil solos added to thier song list they played some old songs but mostly newer songs like everlating light, tighten up, howling for you and next girl. we called them for an encore but they refused and we were all dissapointed.
Muse: damn i never saw them live but matt is a hipster. he also betrays his country by playing riffs of the star spangled banner an anti british song. anyway the band was graet the live proformance was really awesome matt has wicked guitar skills he even tried to mimic primus bass skills and he said "it would be better if i had a 6 string bass huh?" the bassist was amazing not as good as primus bassist though and matt was really energetic and he kinda went off a little playing long solos after the song ended but thats great that they can improvise live. anyway they left the stage and we had to call them out and the encore (if it was an encore and not just planned out) and came back and played a few songs and knights of cydonia being the last song.
sts9: bah i saw them and they were good great vibes and all but after muse they were very energetic but you cant compare rock to electronic you know.

Notes on kanrocksas day 1

If you don't know what kanrocksas is its a festival in kansas city kansas occurring at kansas speedway. Day 1 in a nutshell? Hot sticky pure awesome fun.

The joy formidable: awesome live very energetic and they played very well. I love her vocals, love her energy, I love how wayne coyne of the flaming lips was watching her too. I only got to see a few songs cus I was late but she was awesome and shredding like a pro.
Arctic monkeys: I had to wait 1 hour for these British rockers. I hated the crowd absolutely hated em I was to short to enjoy much and then some posers got mosh pit dancy, waltzing their way up the crowd and got right in front of me and since I was short I couldnt see man I wanted to punch that guy so hard in his kidney he'd have trouble peeing for the rest of his life... but the music was awesome, library pictures was first which was epic, then brianstorm which poser scums loved. Alex turner was awesome in don't sit down cus I moved your chair cus he even made a Kung foo stance. I loved the song I bet you look good on the dance floor cus I was screaming my head off to the lyrics.
Ellie Goulding: I waited like 25 mins for her but I left early cus I was ubber hungry and tired of standing and head banging. But the songs were great they were about guys and love she's got a great voice and since I never heard her before I can't name a song she sung.
Primus: I didn't wait long for them but they impressed me with the song Tommy something and his bass playing was amazing best I've ever encountered muse bassist ain't got nothing on this Californian funk metal. The thing that made me leave was when he pulled out a pig mask I left immediately cus I felt a mosh pit metal thing about to happen so I left and bought a freakin five dollar poweraid which made me angry then I came back and waited till primus finished at the safety of the fence edge.
The flaming lips: 1 hr 35 min wait totally worth it I was in the front I saw wayne coyne several times before the show and also I remembered seeing him at ellie Goulding and I saw him taking pictures of primus before but anyway I met some fans they all said they saw him before but I didn't But hey he was awesome. The beginning was weird and he warned us about the strobe light action and all.
Then the psychedelic lights started they introduced the band and what not with blinding lights and crap
Then wayne coyne got in his space ball and rolled in the crowd!!!!
He started singing stuff from the dark side of the moon and embryonic most of the time
The theme was the wizard of oz how racist to kansas :l
He played what is light
Played she don't use jelly
Played what is light
And lastly do you realize
Eminem: sucked he sucked reallly reaallly bad so shut up you posers popsters non good music listening idiots.

Overall day 1 was good but all the hype I made was for the flaming lips and Arctic monkeys even though everyone in kanrocksas loved eminem and kid cudi but what do you expect they either all listen to rap and pop or they're Hipsters I wouldnt take them seriously at all.

Arctic monkeys Ellie Goulding Ellie singing really high Wayne Coyne the flaming lips
