Notes on a different kind of fix by Bombay bicycle club

How do you say BBC is good? You say BBC stands for Bombay bicycle club. NOW before you say "whose that?" ill explain
This is not about a restaurant chain from India. This is about a band that made its name based off that restaurant chain. This band is from North London and they are a very active band releasing three albums since 2009 with an album released every year since then. Ever since then the band has had a fan base and they are really young for a popular band in fact they were a band since before high school ended. They graduated and immediately dedicated themselves to their band. My rough guess is that they are about 23-25 years old. Anyway we are not here for a band disambiguation we're here for an album review of a different kind of fix.

1. How can you swallow so much sleep: its a long song title for such a short song only 3 mins. Ok it starts off with an "ahhhhh oooooh" and guitar plucking gently behind the bass guitar. The vocals start then the drums enter at the same time and they enter very late in the song. The vocals are good though and the song gets better all the elements in the song start getting together quite nicely.
2. Bad timing: the rhythmof the guitar is similar to that from the song before but this song has the vocals start as soon as the song begins. The rhythm changes again and we have a dueling battle of guitars. The song is sprinkled with more emotion and that of the passionate guitars. The song is consisted of Frank beauty and rough love and a bad ending to it all.
3. Your eyes: " boom ba doom boom ba doom boom ba doom" guitar plays that while the cowbell sound gets tapped around. The vocals pop up soon after, the March style drum starts kicking. The drum starts banging and we have head bang fever starting. Well the hook is great the chorus is just a mini concentrated dance party. The prechorus just builds that dance party like how you shake a bottle of coke until it bursts spraying rich caffeinated ultra sugary syrup. That actually was a metaphor as to how the music would look like. Well the best thing is that change right before the ending, its so full of bass and drum its is begging to get danced to. Pogo jump dance anyone?
4. Lights out, words gone: ok so the first blip and I'm getting march vibe out of this, then I can only imagine step one two three step one two three... Then the song really starts off. Full blast thick sound and were only talking mere seconds into the song. "ooooooooooooo" the hummming demands as the vocals begin. Ahh the guitar feels so sick the vibe it sends out I can see similarities to pala by friendly fires. The sound, the background noise of patting hand drums the slight touch off women vocals sounds like a paradise island get-away song. This is probably gonna be the next single. This song is so freaking chill man words can't explain the chill.
5. Take the right one: "*click click click*" the whole song booms vocals and all. The bass is pretty good but the best part of the song is the drums and background sounds. This song is good but coming out after the last song it kinda feels weak and I was expecting more. It's like three minutes but it's so tame it seems like less. I do admit though that the transition into shuffle is breast.
6. Shuffle: ahh the transition from tame and calm to chill and energetic. The piano is just hammering down sending brilliant beams of light into eyes, just daze into it until the distort of a guitar brings you in and the drums come in for the kill and your hooked before the vocals even began. The vocals are amazing though and that keeps this song going having that additional backup makes this song stand out separating boys bands from the rich unique indie rock act that Bombay bicycle club is.
7. Beggars: vocals start immediately then the guitar gracefully wrought, the song is acoustic. The vocals are very good the electric guitars enter. Then it goes acoustic again. The song switches between soft calm acoustic and powerful and graceful electric. It's got a pretty sad song mood even if there are colorful changes.
8. Leave it: the guitars in the opening are decorated the same way throughout the whole album. The bass similar to that guitar part. The vocals are in the same fashion as that of prior song but the difference is there are female vocals included. Her vocals are very soothing next to his voice saying "leave it leave it leave it leave it you gotta leave" and this changes the mood.
9. Fracture: so the singing starts off in the same time as the piano and guitar. There are no drums or bass yet. The song is pretty sad. The drums finally start after a minute and a half of wait. The song continues to be depressing and sad. The end is short and subtle.
10. What you want: the guitar is really good in this song and the vocals fit just right for it. Then the song changes styles and the bass dominates and we have an extremely good not depressing song at our reaches. Simple catchiness and great vocals = good song.
11. Favorable day: deep piano start, vocals and drums follow. The song sounds ok its March style and is pretty. It has fancy little background sounds. The song makes you feel like if your walking through the woods and you see a monster instead of running you pull out a sword and battle. This song is encouraging.
12. Still: vocals are loud the piano is a dagger at the heart the song has a mellow feel to it and the song makes an impression of a sad cold rainy winter day. The vocals seem tortured and he clearly is expressing pain. The pain of losing a loved one or depression.

The album is good not a total shocker it doesn't break ground in New turf but its not so lively and happy like most of what I like listening to sure 2-5 songs you can dance to but what about the rest? I'm my that big a fan of sad songs or acoustic but if you are then this album won't be a bit bad and for the record I really do like the album but I'm gonna stick to a few songs for a while. Recommended for anyone who likes mystery jets, the horrors, washed out, say hi, mew, and Harlem shakes.

Oh yeah ill be posting playlist every 2nd week of every new month and polls every Monday from now on. Next review is Palace pier by Heidi klum's bangs. Till next week!
