bleh bleh bleh

Today i have an announcement for all those who still go on this pretty lame blog. I am here because over the course of a few months, after 2 break ups, 4 broken hearts, 1 semester of college, and 9,000+ musics i am gonna return to reviewing but alas i will not review albums. Tl;Dr. I am here to fix the justice in the broken critique system i am here to criticize the critiques. why? because i love music and as much as i love listening i can't sway opinions. so today i start a campaign to criticize the "untouchables" in before "HUR DUR I'M GONNA CRITIQUE YOU OBED!!!" so here i am at the start of a new journey and the end of a good long 2 years of album criticizing today i make the critiques squinge and cringe because not only am i a musician and someone who listens to good music but i'm also a critic so "Been DER done DAT" type deal. Welcome to the phantom zone children we've got a long journey to go. I Will Start With the First "Fag"tano Review. then work my way to the newest and less talked about blogs.
I might start posting on Youtube. This might be a good plan. Yes. it will. YOUR one and always trickster/opposer  OBED GLORIA :#

Placebo B3 EP review

Who knows about the band Placebo? Well Placebo is a band from the early 90's and its a pretty rad band just ask me and i'll tell you which album is best (the debut) but who cares? Anyway this EP is totally exciting why? cus this is the first major new material since battle for the sun in '09 and any fan would be excited. well i wouldn't call myself a fan but this is very exciting and right now i am itching to listen to it.
here we go:

First impression:
1. B3: It's pretty loud as expected from Placebo. It's kind of calm for them though... i hear really the same sound as before in the drums but the guitar is a little different. That's just me maybe. I don't know about you but i like this Placebo over the battle for the sun Placebo.

2. I Know You Wanna Stop: Hmmmm... its a strange song there is a pretty creepy feel to it but its less creepy then what i'm used to hearing Placebo play. It is really good. very modern sounding and has lots of transitions.

3. The Extra: Acoustic. That's all i gotta say. Amazing that they added an acoustic. That's a change i like. i don't know about the booming. honestly this EP so far is very impressive.

4. I.K.W.Y.L.: I know where you live? is that what it stands for? This song is pretty impressive i think i'm excited for the new upcoming album if this EP is an indicator of the new album i think it will be amazing. this song is amazing it sound very modern and is just the right amount of passive aggressive its addicting.

5. Time is Money: This song is a little more melancholy. It's soft and it sounds like the older placebo sound. Very catchy when he starts speaking about "jesus" the voice is varying more than any other Placebo song and in a way its very good at putting you under a spell of enchantment.

RATING: ♪♪♪♪/♪♪♪♪ Four Out Of Four Eighth Notes.

Quick notes on Four by Bloc Party

Bloc Party Four
OH MY GOSH BLOC PARtY!!! oh my god. eh. when i heard about the release of this album i was not really excited. i really didn't care. I heard Kele's The Boxer and i thought it was weak. i only liked two tracks and none of it felt like it was new to the spectrum of music it sounded like a been there done that.

listening to it for a while i don't see much of a difference from the older albums it has the same sound. It took 5 years to make a similar sounding album? sounds really repetitive don't you think? I should say this though the songs on this album are all consistently better. The whole album sounds good and it's lacking many singles. They make this up with consistency though which in my opinion is better than making a bunch of singles like the wombats who in my opinion were a complete failure in the latest release. This album does have a good single... "Octopus" its got some good guitar work in there. Well the whole album has some pretty good dynamics over all. The balance between low and high and thick and thin is pretty good and noticeable. When you add all these components together you get a pretty good number.

THE VERDICT: *DUM DUM DUM!!!* Well lets just analyse what we have here? Do we like what we hear? Yes. Is this original? sort of. Does this feel like a "classic"? NOOOOOO! Is there a change in the bands sound? Um you can hardly notice anything. Well what does this album rate in numbers?

Rating:: ♪♪/♪♪♪♪ Two Out Of Four Eighth Notes.

Quick Notes on Bleed Bleed Bleed by Thieves Like Us

OK you little last.fm fuckers because this album isn't talked about much i'm here to bring this to light. Thieves Like Us is named after the New Order song i assume eh? Well if it's not i always think of that song when i listen to Drugs In My Body and Program Of The First Part. I wanna point out to all you hipsters that this album was made in the bands homes so if that doesn't scream indie then there's something wrong with you. Maybe you're all too caught up with the crappy American passion pit sophomore album or the crappy dubstep/acoustic bull shit all you trendy fucks listen to but whatever the case is you need to shut up and listen to some of this fairly new album.

The singles in this album are pretty good. I mean it isn't your Play Music singles but they are a lot better than the new stuff on your hipster radio stations. If this album's singles had as much air play as you gotye and fun. then we would have good electronica on the radio and hey all you're plans backfired indie is mainstream now so its not even indie anymore its alternative as fuck. Now i know how it felt when people said alternative got mainstream.

Anyway if you don't at least listen to the album whole (something a popster would do) then just listen to the singles. Listen to 2. Stay Blue, 1. Bleed Bleed Bleed, 7. Maria Marie, 3. Still Life, and i recommend 6. Bleed Bleed Bleed II.

Seriously though you're all disappointing me in how much of an oxymoron you've all become.

Listen and then when you're finish listen to New Order cus they deserve to be agnowledged for being an inspiration to many bands like this one Neon Indian and other. Now go listen. Spotify has it so listen to it. I know all you hipsters have Spotify.
